The Eureka 42 is purposely built for game fishing, with the billfish angler in mind. Whilst designed for game fishing, our standard models incorporate a more luxurious fitout than you would typically expect on a game fishing boat. Importantly, the Eureka 42 does so with sacrificing practicality.
In particular, the Eureka 42’s all weather performance and manouvreability, fuel economy, and its ability to be semi-customised, should bring a big smile to the face of even the most hardened game fisherman.
Our design and build team can semi-customise our design to meet most personal requirements.
To emphasise this game fishing focus, we have launched our separate “Eureka Gameboats” brand, and have celebrated this with our sponsorship of the Eureka Gameboats Classic, to be run in conjunction with the Cairns Bluewater Game fishing Club Inc.
It is a Heavy Tackle Tournament scheduled for 16-18 October 2009.
Stay tuned for news on this event.
Our 1st purchaser is a very experienced game fisherman and loves his boat and was instrumental in inspiring our new Eureka Gameboats brand (see Feedback)
Other feedback on the Eureka 42
Cockpit “By any measure, 10.2sq is a beautiful fishing cockpit.Wide gunwhales and padded coamings add to that. The boat was fitted with five heavy duty rodholders and two infloor fishboxes. An in-transom livebait tank and tuna tubes are options, along with various chair options, custom rodholder arrangements and so on. Really, it’s your call on the cockpit. “
Performance
“The hull has a variable deadrise, with a sharp entry tapering to 14 degrees at the transom. That flattish run aft, and an especially wide beam of 4.55m, provides a lot of buoyancy, lift, assist acceleration, efficiency and inherent stability. The addition of a big, flared bow keeps the water at bay – this was a truly dry boat, with no blowback in the cockpit, either and a lot of thought has gone into perfecting weight distribution.”
