Feedback from a satisfied customer
My Eureka’s superior performance was evident from the moment I took delivery in March 2009.
On my way bringing the boat up to Cairns from the Gold Coast, we ran into 30 plus knots and had a cyclone buzzing around to add to the weather conditions. Despite this, we still managed to be cruising at 24 knots and finished the last leg from Hamilton Island to Cairns in 11 hours.
We never took a green one over the noise, or broached, which is a credit to the design of the Eureka’s hull.
I have owned over 15 boats from a 12 foot dingy to a 55 foot power cat, including numerous game boats, and my Eureka 42 is the best by far, in so many ways.
The things that stand out to me are the ease of maneuverability in a tight marina , fuel economy at low speed ( 18 LPH @ 9 KNS total burn ) and comfort at high speed in rough conditions .
I also like the way the cockpit is molded as it’s a breeze to clean.
I would like to thank the team at Eureka because the after sales service has been excellent and most of all prompt and friendly.
In summing up it’s a great package that I am proud to own and is a pleasure to drive .
I am looking forward to fishing this year’s tournament calendar.
Yours Sincerely

P.S. I took the Eureka out Saturday and Sunday and fished the all ports competition, which is all East Coast ports under G.F.A.A. club rules. I had 6 Committee members on board and can report that they were all well impressed with the boat’s performance, especially the way the boat launches out of the hole with ease .

"I have been boating for nearly 40 years and have experienced many boats. I have had two outings on the Eureka 42 and it is a real standout in blue water performance. Add to that a very high quality of fit-out, build to USL survey standard of construction and engineering all of which deliver an excellent package.
Whilst initially aimed at the game-fishing market there is plenty of room and high level creature comforts to satisfy the most fussy of owners (and their partners).
Some boats are quite good in a sea and have good or even excellent fit-outs, but few can match the Eureka in seakeeping, I would really like to see one on the west coast where if your boat doesn’t handle well 25 knot+ winds you can be really restricted in your boating.
If you can see yourself traveling a bit further, want something a little bigger than forty foot then you can’t go past the Eureka 42."

"With the combined experience of 55 years in the marine industry we have been on various makes models and styles of boats.
The interior finish on the Eureka is well presented and the engine room layout is extremely easy to access all parts of the machinery fitted.
We first sea trialed the Eureka 42 out of the Tweed Coast in New South Wales on a not so pleasant day will good swell & moderate winds and the Eureka preformed extremely well with a comfortable ride not only into the sea but also with a good following sea and has quick acceleration out of the hole.
Being game fishermen backing up was important and the Eureka handled the chop and swell very well with the water taken over the back clearing quickly through the large deck scuppers in the cockpit.
In summing up we can say the Eureka has great sea keeping ability, a dry ride and is a pleasure to be at the helm. "
Eureka 42 Review by David Lockwood, Blue Water Boats & Sports Fishing Magazine: Issue 69: 2008
“It was the boat’s motion that appealed to me: smooth, solid, dry. And maneuverable. And with the wide beam and footprint, it feels incredibly stable in the bridge and down below”
“The engineroom is spacious, clean and easy-to-use, with concealed, but accessible wiring…….there is oodles of room around the Cats (715hp C12 engines, Cummins and Volvos are all optional”
“The hull has a variable deadrise, with a sharp entry tapering to 14 degrees at the transom. That flattish run aft, and an especially wide beam of 4.55m, provides a lot of buoyancy, lift, assist acceleration, efficiency and inherent stability. The addition of a big, flared bow keeps the water at bay – this was a truly dry boat, with no blowback in the cockpit, either and a lot of thought has gone into perfecting weight distribution.”
